About the company
In 2011, we converted our family business into a foundation and enshrined the promotion of environmental, economic, and social sustainability as our primary goal in the foundation’s bylaws.
Since then, 90 percent of our profits have been reinvested in the company and used for this purpose—for example, in energy-efficient equipment or job creation. The remaining 10 percent goes to projects that serve the public good. We are particularly committed to preserving biodiversity, ecological seed breeding, and the cultivation of open-pollinated vegetable varieties.
